See-letter typing
The see-letter typing(typing seeing the letters being typed instead of seeing keyboard) will be naturally possible when there has happened the haptic tech to sense key location with only fingers.
1. Test with haptic substitutes
You can verify whether it is true or not. The mini calculators can be used as haptic substitutes. (The square numbers are button [width * height] on basis of Galaxy phone)
Because the calculators are nothing but the minimum and worst environments to manage to succeed in the test, some times and efforts are necessary. Once you are familiar and comfortable, you can naturally strike the key for what you want, with your eyes closed.
2. Actual see-letter typing with 16 key
Even now, it is possible with 16 key. The see-letter typing itself has its own irresistible attractions, fascinating many people.
If you want to try it, the most important is to (1)find and keep optimum button size for your fingers and (2)fix the location of both hands holding the phone, on basis of which you can sense the location of each key. Then you can more and more exactly strike the key.
The goal is to naturally type seeing letters, not never-see-keyboard. When your fingers are tired or errors are repeated, see keyboard to refresh your sense of each key. Then you can reach quite satisfactory performance.
The average standard button size is 62×58 on basis of Galaxy phone. You can set exact size or x y margin at Tutor and take them from Tutor to keyboard. As for some persons, plugged-in cable can be helpful to fix both hands.
